The weight is over; I hope

I’m not going to mince words–I’m overweight. I wasn’t always, and I have my reasons (excuses). I will say life happened.  I’ve tried lots of times over the years to lose the weight with no success. I don’t count them as failures because I haven’t given up.

I currently want to get down to approximately 150 lbs., but I am more interested in getting in better shape and wearing a smaller size than the scale. I think the scale has always tripped me up in past attempts. So while I do have a goal weight, if I don’t get to it but I’ve met all my other goals I’ll be happy. I hope.

I’ve already lost 20 pounds since July 2017, yeah I know very slowly, but it is going down. I started working out with a trainer in February and I’m currently trying to tweak my nutrition to help.

I do have some hurdles in the nutrition department. I have Celica disease, so no gluten (i.e. whole wheat) or dairy for me. At times I don’t always get what I need in the macro department. I’m still learning that bit.

In an attempt to jump start the nutrition side of things, I’m going to spend the next month following a nutrition plan from the creators of Simple Green Smoothies called “Fresh Start”. It is vegan and gluten-free.

I thought I would share with you my daily, weekly, and monthly journey. More for accountability on my end but hopefully inspiration to someone else.

I’ll try and post daily what it was like and break down the cost by week.

Let the games begin!
